Internationally acclaimed make up artist Ruby Hammer has travelled the world working. Moving effortlessly from the catwalk collections of Paris, New York and Milan, to fashion and beauty shoots, Ruby has created looks for the world’s top photographers and most influential designers.
She understands the universal desire to achieve beauty, the desire to be glamorous without looking made-up and the desire by all women to have their beauty acknowledged, exalted and celebrated.
From working on photo shoots for magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Red, Harpers & Queen, Marie Claire and Italian Vogue, Ruby is regularly quoted in magazines and on the television as an expert on trends, beauty tips and advice. She has worked on many advertising campaigns and television commercials including Marks & Spencer’s, Next, Oil of Olay, Pantene and No7; she also did the first exercise video for supermodel Cindy Crawford.
In her capacity as a make up artist, Ruby has aligned with cosmetic houses that include Estee Lauder, Clinique, Christian Dior and Aveda. Before entering the industry, she graduated from City University with a degree in Economics.
Most recently Ruby has been resident Make Up Artist on Channel 4′s primetime show ’10 Years Younger’, and the same channel aired a half hour documentary celebrating her career as well.
Ruby Hammer was presented with a MBE in 2007 for her long-standing contribution to the cosmetics industry.
